Princess Diana Chinese Lingerie Ad: Death Anniversary Underwear Controversy – Years after her passing, Princess Diana’s name is still one that regularly graces the pages of magazines. On the 13th anniversary of her death, the Chinese lingerie firm Jealousy International Underwear will be releasing a billboard with a Princess Diana lookalike wearing their underwear. The ad will undoubtedly bring controversy to the company, which is likely what they were looking for when they created the ad.
The image was placed at Shenzhen airport in China. The woman clearly is meant to resemble Princess Diana, and next to the picture is the word “Diana” in huge red lettering. The woman in the picture is posing in her bra while holding a cello and a bow.

Representatives for the royal family have yet to comment on the ad, but a number of British citizens who have come through the airport have taken issue with the ad.
“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” said Sam Chambers, a British journalist. He went on to say that he had to stay around and wait for the rolling ad to appear again just so he could make sure that he had seen what he thought he had.

Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997 along with her boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed and their chauffeur. It will be interesting to see how the royal family reacts to the ad.Some have speculated that the company will be asked to suspend their ad, but no official announcements have been made as of yet.
